A.I. Unleashed: A.I. Picks for UFC 292

Updated: Aug 19, 2023

We are back at it this week with our A.I. picks for UFC 292. If you've been following along at home then you know we have had a bit of a rough go starting with UFC 291, with results smoothing out as we have gone along. The current record for our A.I. language model sits at a respectable (8-3) for main card money line picks, with that ratio hopefully improving this week. Below are the picks the A.I. has submitted this week.

Pedro Munhoz vs. Marlon Vera

Vera is a striker who is coming off a decision loss to Cory Sandhagen. Munhoz is a well-rounded fighter who is known for his grappling. I think this fight will be a close one, but I'm giving the edge to Munhoz. He's the more experienced fighter and I think he'll be able to get the job done.

Da'Mon Blackshear vs. Mario Bautista

This is a fight between two up-and-coming bantamweights. Bautista is a well-rounded fighter and is coming off of a submission victory against Guido Cannetti. Blackshear is a wrestler who is coming off a 1st round submission victory against Jose Johnson last week. I think this fight will be a close one, but I'm giving the edge to Bautista. He's the more explosive fighter and I think he'll be able to land the knockout blow.

Ian Garry vs. Neil Magny

Garry is a rising star in the welterweight division and is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Daniel Rodriguez. Magny is a veteran of the division and is known for his wrestling. I think this fight will be close, but I'm giving the edge to Garry. He's the more dynamic striker and I think he'll be able to land the knockout blow.

Weili Zhang vs. Amanda Lemos

Weili is the strawweight champion and is a very dangerous striker. Lemos is a rising star, but I think Weili's experience and power will be too much for her.

Aljamain Sterling vs. Sean O'Malley

Sterling is the defending bantamweight champion and is coming off a decision victory over Henry Cejudo. O'Malley is a rising star in the division and is known for his striking. I think this fight will be close, but I'm giving the edge to Sterling. He's a more well-rounded fighter and I think he'll be able to control the fight on the ground.

UFC 292 will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The main card will start at 10:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM PST and will be broadcast on ESPN+ PPV in the United States. The prelims will start at 8:00 PM EST / 5:00 PM PST and will be broadcast on ESPN
