ONE Championship electrified the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium with another thrilling night of martial arts action. ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade featured a showdown for the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title and crowned the inaugural ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion.

In the main event, ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty captured the vacant kickboxing belt with a second-round knockout of ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio Andrade.

Early in the bout, Haggerty set a blistering pace with fast and powerful combinations, keeping Andrade on the defensive. As the match progressed, “The General” intensified his offense and connected with his signature weapons.

Near the halfway point of the second round, a head kick severely rocked Andrade, and the Brazilian superstar went into survival mode. With “Wonder Boy” struggling to maintain his balance, Haggerty unleashed a barrage of punches to try and close the show.

Haggerty threw a powerful straight right hand down the middle that sent Andrade crashing to the canvas. Although the Brazilian attempted to beat the eight-count, he could barely get back to his feet, forcing referee Olivier Coste to call a halt to the contest.

With the victory, Haggerty is now a two-sport ONE World Champion. He also took home a double bonus for his epic performance, amounting to US$100,000.

What is next for the Englishman?.
